S lovakia is a country with a population of 5.4 million inhibitants and strategically located in the heart of Europe. It is identified as the hub of Europe that can connect the whole continent from west-east and north-south, and able to reach a wider market potential reaching 300 million people of the Central and Eastern Europe.

The Slovak market becomes attractive due to its economic growth contributed by automotive, electronics, machinery, tourism and service sectors. Its strategic location, high-qualified workforce, and stable macroeconomy have made Slovakia a promising destination for Indonesian exporters.

Following the Slovakia-Indonesia Business Meeting held in Jakarta in October 2018, there have been growing interests of Slovak businessmen towards Indonesian big opportunities and market. Moreover, the Slovak businessmen delegation participated in a series of meetings during the Trade Expo Indonesia 2019. And they also visited industrial centers in Cikarang, as well as coffee and tea plantations in West Java.

In order to boost the above momentum, during 2019, the Indonesian Embassy in Bratislava continued to promote bilateral business, trade and investment activities through several activities, such as: informal business lunch; five business forums in the cities of Bratislava, Zilina, Kosice and Presov; as well as a number of facilitation for Indonesia-Slovakia business meetings.
