With an abundance of natural resources and rich biodiversity as the world’s largest archipelago, Indonesia is an ideal tourism getaway. Diverse landscape features of mountains, shorelines, and cultural affluences, Indonesia tourism offers best value for its rich cultural experience. The development of tourism industry in Indonesia grows significantly each year. International tourist visit increase by more than 35% Compound Annual Grow Rate (CAGR) between 2008 and 2012 with total number of visitors from Asia and Europe accounted for 82% of international arrivals in 2013. Foreign tourist arrivals in Indonesia reached 16.11 million visits in 2019, rose 1.88% compared to previous year.
SLOVAKS VISIT TO INDONESIA
According to Indonesian Statistic Agency, the number of Slovak visitors to Indonesia has seen a steady yet moderate increase in 2019 (3%) contributing to the total foreign tourism expenditure in hospitality sectors as the main beneficiary.

Furthermore, the Indonesian Embassy in Bratislava, supported by Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, annually co-hosts familiarization trips for journalists, social media activists, and tourism businesses from Slovakia to get to know Indonesia and its cultural affluence while visiting various destinations in Indonesia.
